Letter Regarding delay in PRAN generation and Final settlement of Exit/Withdrawal cases under NPS dated 28-08-2025

The Directorate of Treasury & Accounts, Government of Punjab has issued a circular (No. NPS/2025/E-89880/673 dated 28th August 2025) highlighting delays in PRAN generation and final settlement of Exit/Withdrawal cases under the New Pension Scheme (NPS).

Departments have been instructed to:

• Examine all delayed cases under NPS.

• Identify the specific stage and cause of delay.

• Fix responsibility and take appropriate administrative or disciplinary action.

The circular further emphasizes strict adherence to the timelines already communicated vide letter No. NPS/2021/1057 dated 13.09.2021, to avoid financial hardship for employees and recurrence of such delays.
